Folklore Las Niñas needed a website that represented the quality and depth of the brand. Their previous website was functional however it lacked the design and character needed to truly represent this unique and mission focused brand. Their previous e-commerce website site failed to tell the story of the company and also properly display and highlight the timeless quality of their clothing along with the craftsmanship, care, and love put into each unique garment.
Since Folklore’s budget only allowed for a focus on 3 main page designs, we got creative. We knew that this brand’s story deserved to be told in a rich and engaging way. A few brainstorm sessions resulted in the decision to tell Folklore’s “About” story on the homepage in a unique, eye-catching way.
We bought Folklore Las Niñas “About” story right to the home page in a creative and unique way, “weaving” the story of the full cycle from creation of the cloth that goes into the garments to how it gives back to communities through beautiful illustrations and a “thread” that connected each step in the journey.
The response to the reimagined e-commerce experience was immediate. Now visitors to Folklore Las Niñas not only take part in a beautiful and highly usable and engaging online shopping experience but they also get a very vivid and warm understanding of the story behind the clothes and they feel good about their purchase knowing that part of the proceeds go towards giving back to artisan communities. Every Folklore Las Niñas shopper now enriched by being a part of a beautiful exchange.
